Dr. Koelker grew up in Allen and graduated from Allen High School in 2003. He continued his education graduating Cum Laude from Texas Tech University, where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry with a minor in Biology. Dr. Koelker furthered his education by receiving his Doctorate of Dental Surgery from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio in 2012, graduating Cum Laude as well.
After graduation, he was accepted into an Advanced Education in General Dentistry residency where he received specialized skills in IV sedation, implant placement, and wisdom teeth removal. Dr. Koelker then moved back to his hometown and joined Dr. Bishop and Dr. Kim at The Dentist of Allen in 2013.
Dr. Koelker enjoys exercising, playing golf, and spending time with his wife and three children in his free time. He feels blessed to be practicing dentistry in his hometown and is devoted to providing the best quality dental care for his patients.
While attending his residency program, Dr. Koelker acquired specialized skills in IV sedation, implant placement, and wisdom tooth removal.
Great place, got my all on 4 dentures and love it, been coming since the 90s!! Never had a complaint and they give the most gentle shots.
Great facility, Great staff and exceptional doctors. I had a cleaning yesterday and the hygienist was thorough end explained everything that was going on. Dr Koelker is super friendly and let me know exactly what was going on and what needed to be done. My family has been going to this office for years and will continue to do so
This dentist is the best! I’ve been coming here for years. Super cool building, Dr. Kelker takes great care of me. My dental assistant Cynthia is super sweet and Clariza at the front is too, love those girls! They also always have nice deals and promos!

Dr. Bishop and his staff are fantastic. I have been to many dentists over my lifetime and the dentistofAllen is by far the best ever. Everyone treats me with the utmost care and concern. Dr. Bishop, Dr. Kim and Dr. Koelker really care about their patients. Dr. Bishop knows dentistry! I have been to many dentists in my life and Dr. Bishop AND HIS STAFF are by far the BEST I have ever had. All the receptionists are so friendly, helpful and caring. They always listen carefully to me and my mouth issues. The hygienists are so nice and gentle on my teeth. They do a fantastic job cleaning my teeth. If you want the very BEST in dentistry you owe it to yourself to give TheDentistofAllen a try. My oral care is in the best of hands here. 5 BIG STARS!
